What are bariatric and obesity aids?

Bariatric and obesity aids have a strong design to support higher user weights. These aids include wheelchairs, rollators and walking sticks.

What are the benefits of bariatric and obesity aids?

Whether you are in a wheelchair or just need some handheld assistance, bariatric aids have an increased weight limit to give you strong and stable support when you are at home or out and about.

What different bariatric and obesity aids do you offer?

Walking frames – heavy duty walking frames provide walking support for people with higher user weights. They have strong frames with rubber ferrules and are height adjustable to suit different requirements. We offer walking frames in two sizes and another lightweight frame that can fold for compact storage and to help you move through difficult areas.

Rollators – bariatric rollators are ideal walking supports for when you go out and about. They feature strong wheels, handles and brakes so you have greater control. These rollators even have a basket, ideal for your shopping, and a seat that you can use if you require a short rest.

Walking sticks and crutches – we offer a pair of bariatric crutches that have ergonomically shaped handles and non-slip ferrules. The walking stick has a curved design so it can distribute weight more evenly whilst giving you strong support.

Wheelchair – the bariatric wheelchair is attendant controlled with back, foot and arm rests. It has been transport tested so it can be used in a vehicle and with a fold down backrest it can be stored compactly. The wheelchair is supplied in three different sizes.
