With the use of detectors to monitor chest movements, the Apnoea Breathing Monitor Alarm's sensor mat sends an alert to carers if no movement has been detected over a 20 second period, or if less than 8 breaths per minute are detected. Ideal for children weighing between 2kg - 15kg suffering from destructive sleep apnoea or SUDEP (sudden unexpected death in epilepsy)
The alarm will be sounded if there are fewer than eight breaths per minute detected. LED lights built into the monitor help to indicate when breathing is detected and also if the battery is low or if there is a sensor fault. Has a two metre connection lead and a five metre extension cable.
