£380 raised for BBC Children in Need!
Over the last few months we've been hard at work raising money for BBC Children in Need and our final count comes to a fabulous £380!
Smashing last year's total, the team at NRS Healthcare are proud to hand over £380 to BBC Children in Need on Appeal Night - a total which has been raised through hosting a Bake Sale, Halloween Quiz, Cake Raffle and even had three colleagues running a 5K Fun Run together!
Children in Need Bake Sale and Cake Raffle
Back in September, NRS Healthcare kicked off their Children in Need fundraising with a very popular "Boardroom Bake Sale", where several members of the team put their baking skills to good use and even more team members turned up to taste the goods on offer!
Gung Ho! 5K Fun Run
Having signed up for this ultimate charity fun run back in January, Kevin, Elliot and Lex had a fantastic time taking on the 5K course at Wollaton Park, Nottingham, which included 10 giant inflatable obstacles!
The run was a particularly achievement for Lex as it was the first time she had taken on such a rigorous challenge since being diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, causing her blood sugar levels to drop dangerously low when doing any kind of exercise. After months of hard work training her body to respond better when running, Lex was delighted to complete the 5K course with Kevin and Elliot, who were there to support her throughout. They even managed to photobomb BBC children's presenters Alex Winters and Naomi Wilkinson before being caught on camera at the finish line!
Halloween Quiz for BBC Children in Need
To wrap up our fundraising activities, we hosted our exclusive "Spotacular Spooktacular" Halloween Quiz - where just £2 entry gave you half an hour of fun, food and and the chance to scoop first place during three rounds of monstrous multimedia mayhem! A great time was had by all and it enabled us to top up our BBC Children in Need total even more.
Our JustGiving page is still live if you'd like to help us raise even more for the wonderful national charity - simply click here to donate. Many thanks and if you'd like to find out more about BBC Children in Need, check out the official website.
