View Our Latest Innovations at Naidex National 2014
We informed you recently of our upcoming exhibition at Naidex National (Stand B130 29 April – 1 May 2014). At this event we will be showcasing some of our aids for daily living that have been developed by our award winning Product Development Team.
In advance of our exhibition, we would like to take a look back at just a few of the products we have designed in the past, some of which have won national awards.
The Seahorse Sanichair
This paediatric toileting and shower chair was designed exclusively for NRS Healthcare and assists carers and those in their care to maintain hygiene. The Seahorse Sanichair frame is designed to fit over the majority of toilets and is appropriate for use in both a home and school setting. Washing and showering can be carried out easily thanks to the effortless tilting action.
This outstanding bathroom aid was awarded a 4 star product award by Able Magazine back in 2011. In addition, the Seahorse Sanichair was awarded the 1999 British Healthcare Trades Association (BHTA) Design Award.
Bedroom Aid - The 2 in 1 Bed Rail
Suitable for divan style and slatted beds, the 2 in 1 bed rail features an ergonomic handle designed to allow the user to transfer in and out of bed safely. The newly improved base of the 2 in 1 bed rail is now stronger and slimmer, while the handle can be easily detached by 2 e-clips which can be repositioned to suit either style of bed.
In 2007, the NRS 2 in 1 bed rail was awarded a BHTA Independent Living Design Award and in 2009 it was the NAEP Showcase award winner.
The Saturn Disc Transfer Aid
This excellent height adjustable turning aid is designed to be used with the support of a carer, who will assist by counter balancing the transfer aid while the user safely and smoothly rotates into the appropriate position. The epoxy coated aluminium frame is lightweight which allows the carer to easily move the transfer aid with or without the person using it. The knee pads and abdominal plate are padded to avoid any discomfort for the user. For extra security, the Saturn Transfer Disc features a locking brake system.
The Compact Easy 4 Wheel Rollator
As the name suggests this compact 4 wheel rollator is small and lightweight, which allows for easy transportation and storage. This means users of this rollator enjoy the excellent advanced support provided by 4 wheel rollators, whilst at the same time it is compact enough to fold down to a convenient size to fit easily in a car boot or storage cupboard. This versatile walking aid features moulded easy grip handles and incorporates a mesh seat for those who may struggle to stand for long periods.
