With the Queen's 90th birthday taking place next Thursday 21st April, preparations for the Big Day are in full swing across the UK.
It's likely that anyone celebrating their 90th birthday has lived a full and varied life, yet Queen Elizabeth has a great deal more to celebrate than the average person. In her 90 years, she has carried out wartime service, driving ambulances in the Auxiliary Territorial Service, appeared in the first televised film about the Royal Family, personally congratulated the Apollo 11 team for landing on the moon and surpassed Queen Victoria as the longest-lived British Monarch!
