WATCH: behind the scenes of The Occupational Therapy Show 2018
Our Occupational Therapy team had a fabulous 2 days at the OT Show 2018, networking with occupational therapists and associated professionals from across the UK and highlighting several key products which could help make daily tasks easier for their clients.
Hosted at the NEC in Birmingham, this year’s Occupational Therapy Show was busier than ever – especially on Stand C31 where our Senior Design Engineer, Sue, held several “education sessions” to demonstrate our BRAND NEW EasyFit Plus+ Bed Rail and Safety Belt for the NRS Atlas Advance Turning and Transfer Aid.
Focussing on occupational therapy
All the products on our stand this year had a strong focus on occupational therapy and how they can be used to make daily routines easier for occupational therapists, their clients and even carers.
Our occupational therapy team were on hand to demonstrate our new and improved NRS Duo Walking Trolley with unique dual action sliders that prevent the trolley from moving if you put your weight through the frame – eliminating the need for hand brakes! This had a particularly good response from many of the occupational therapists who visited our stand.

Our Seahorse Plus Toileting and Shower Chair, launched in 2016, also continued to receive positive responses from many occupational therapy professionals, with our Regional Sales Manager, Waqas, conducting a number of demonstrations throughout the day.
Introducing our brand new catalogue
In addition to our team demonstrating a range of products, we also launched our brand new catalogue at this year’s Occupational Therapy Show! Designed for those wishing to buy their own equipment, the A5 catalogue features 300 of our best-selling daily living aids and is an ideal size for occupational therapists to carry around on their travels.
Commercial Director, Steve Kennedy explained the reasons for launching a new, smaller catalogue for 2018.
"In the past few years, we’ve really focussed on building our online presence, improving our retail website to ensure people who want to buy online can do so easily and quickly. However, we’re aware that lots of our clients still prefer to use a mail order catalogue over buying online, so we’ve produced a new A5 booklet under our Ways and Means brand for them!
"Naturally, we can only include a selection of the vast range of 3000 daily living aids that we offer online, but our team of Occupational Therapist product advisors have carefully selected the most popular products, to suit a variety of needs and provide a number of mobility and living solutions. We’re also featuring lots of helpful health and wellbeing tips, as well as advice on how to choose certain daily living aids.
