Right now, with social distancing rules in place, getting into a store is just not practical for many of us. Yet we still may need to buy products to help us stay independent in our daily lives. This can make it tricky if you or a relative need to buy something you ideally want to see first, like a mobility aid.

Here are some tips to help you out:

1. Make use of our free product advice service
At NRS Healthcare, our friendly team of in-house Occupational Therapists are on hand to give you free product advice and support. They have a huge wealth of knowledge around our products and will be able to help you decide which ones are better for you depending on the nature of your issue. Their aim is to help you purchase the right product first time to suit your individual needs.

Plus, it’s a free service, so it won’t cost you a penny.

2. Carefully review the product specification
Is it the right size? Can you trust it’s a good quality product?

When buying a product online like a rollator or bathroom aid, it’s important to make sure you double-check the measurements are right for you. You don’t want to receive a product only to have to return it later because it’s not the right size.

If you’re not sure how to measure yourself or a relative, our in-house team of Occupational Therapists will be able to help advise you on this.

4. Check the returns policy
Sometimes you can be as diligent as possible and yet when you receive your order it isn’t quite right. It’s important to check the returns policy before you buy something so you know what you would need to do if that happens.

Here at NRS Healthcare, you get 14 days to return your item to us for a full refund if you are unhappy with it for any reason. There are some things we can’t accept a return of for hygiene reasons, especially if they have been used or the seal is broken, so it’s worth keeping that in mind.
