Bathroom Aids

Bathrooms come in all shapes and sizes, some large, some small, some have a bath tub, others a shower. Bathrooms can be easily altered to suit your needs with a variety of products, from using a shower seat to installing a grab rail, making washing and cleaning more comfortable.

Bath Lifts

Getting in and out of your bath is made much easier by using bath lifts. The seat is secured at the bottom of the bath tub, staying securely in place using suction cups. It then gently lowers and raises you in and out of the bath at the tough of a button. There are also inflatable cushions that can be used in the same way.

Grab Rails

Grab rails can also be fitted to give you extra support around the bathroom. Whether fitted to the side of your bath, inside a shower or next to the toilet, they give you extra confidence and make the bathroom much safer. The Suction Grab Bar takes away the need to drill holes as it uses powerful suction cups that keep it securely in place. It can be used around the house and by simply releasing the pressure switches.

Standard grab rails require fixing in place. There are stainless steel rails that offer a more contemporary look, while the plastic rails with a stainless steel insert offer added strength while being warm-to-touch. Red Grab Rails are designed to be highly visible and contrasting in colour so that it is easier to recognise for those with dementia or who are visually impaired.

Bath support Rails

Bath Support Rails are installed directly onto your bath and are designed to make it easier to get in and out of the bath, as well as to reposition in the bath or as a support when preparing the bath. Some rails are angled over the bath which makes it easier to get out of the bath tub, while others have integrated rails to help with repositioning.

Shower Seats

If you find that you can’t stand in the shower for long periods of time, using a shower seat might be the best option for you. These are comfortable chairs that have specially designed holes in them to drain water away quickly. The seats come with either rubber ferrule feet or locked braked castors. So whether you are wheeled into the shower or place your seat in position, you can be sure it will give you a safe and comfortable seat.

These are just some of the many products that you can use to make your bathroom more comfortable and safer, washing away the stress of the day.
